How Our General Pest Control Service Works

We offer several service options, including single services and ongoing maintenance programs. Our standard recurring program is every other month, approximately every 60 days.

What we do at each service

Every home is different, so we adjust the treatment based on the pest activity and conditions around your property. A typical general pest service focuses on key areas where pests live, travel, and enter the home, including the base of the structure, eaves, common entry points, and the surrounding yard up to approximately 40 feet from the home where appropriate.

Service also includes removal of accessible spider webs and wasp nests. Rather than simply applying material everywhere, we focus treatment where it is needed and adjust our approach based on what we find during the service.

Why we recommend service every other month

Quarterly pest control has been common in our area for decades, but we believe the service schedule should reflect how treatments actually perform under modern conditions—not simply how the industry has traditionally done things. Exterior treatments are constantly exposed to intense Texas heat, UV light, rain, irrigation, and other environmental conditions that gradually reduce their residual effectiveness. Based on more than 20 years of hands-on experience, we commonly see effective exterior protection begin to decline around the 45- to 60-day range during much of the year.

With a traditional quarterly schedule, that can leave several weeks between declining protection and the next scheduled service. During that time, pests have an opportunity to move back into treated areas and begin re-establishing themselves.

Bee’s Pest Management services our standard recurring general pest customers every other month so we can return while the previous treatment is still contributing to control. Instead of repeatedly allowing pest pressure to build and then performing a heavier corrective treatment, our goal is to maintain control with smaller, more targeted maintenance treatments.

Over years of field testing and route experience, we’ve found that this approach can reduce the amount of material needed during individual services, reduce the time required to regain control, and provide customers with more consistent protection throughout the year.

The goal isn’t to treat more. It’s to treat at the right time so we can often accomplish more with less.

Our 60-Day Service Warranty

Every general pest service offered by Bee’s Pest Management—whether it's a one-time treatment or part of a recurring home pest management program—comes with a 60-day warranty for covered general pests.

If you experience continued pest activity during the warranty period, simply contact us, and we’ll provide a free, targeted re-service focused specifically on the pest and the areas where the activity is occurring. We do not automatically re-treat the entire property when a smaller, focused treatment can effectively resolve the issue.

Since many pest control materials require time between applications, we ask customers to wait 7 days after the initial service before reporting continued live activity. This allows us to properly assess the treatment and ensures that any follow-up application stays within appropriate re-treatment intervals.

Our general pest services cover treatment for common household pests as well as accessible wasps present at the time of service. However, the 60-day warranty does not extend to flying insects or specialty pests that necessitate separate treatment programs, such as rodents, wildlife, bed bugs, German cockroaches, carpenter ants, termites, and other excluded pests.

For our recurring customers, warranty coverage remains valid as long as the account is kept up to date. If a scheduled service is more than 90 days overdue, warranty coverage will cease until regular pest control services are restored.

If covered pests return, we'll be back to help—at no additional charge during the warranty period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our general pest control service? Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often. Still need help? Call or text us at (830) 475-2702.

For ongoing protection, we recommend service approximately every 60 days. Central Texas heat, UV exposure, rain, and irrigation can reduce the effective residual life of exterior treatments. Servicing every other month helps us maintain control before pest activity has an opportunity to become re-established.

No. Bee's Pest Management does not require service contracts or charge cancellation fees. We want you to continue using us because you value the service we provide—not because an agreement prevents you from leaving.

All general pest services include a 60-day warranty for covered pests. Allow at least 7 days after treatment for the service to take full effect. If covered pest activity continues or returns after that period, contact us and we'll provide a free, targeted re-service in the areas where activity is occurring.

Our general pest service covers many common household pests, including ants, cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, earwigs, centipedes, millipedes, silverfish, pill bugs, and sow bugs. Accessible wasps are treated at the time of service, but flying insects are not covered by the 60-day warranty. Specialty pests such as rodents and wildlife, bed bugs, German cockroaches, carpenter ants, and termites require separate treatment programs.

Our recommended recurring program is every other month because we believe it provides more consistent protection under Central Texas conditions. Quarterly service may be available for customers who specifically prefer that schedule, but our standard recommendation is approximately every 60 days.

For most interior general pest treatments, people and pets should remain out of the treated area until the product has dried. This is commonly about one hour, but the exact re-entry time depends on the product label and treatment being performed.

Some specialty treatments, such as flea or German cockroach services, may require the home to remain vacant for approximately 3–4 hours. We’ll explain any preparation and re-entry requirements before treatment so you know exactly what to expect.
